Welcome to The Alderbrook School Tanzania Blog!
With just 152 days to go its getting very real. We have met our World Challenge leader, Phil Kennedy, we have a draft itinerary and expect confirmation of our flight details any day now. We have done our weekend in the snow at Buxton and have begun out training regime with our first walk along the Malverns.
We are really grateful to all of the parents, school staff and companies that have supported us so far with special thanks to Burchell Edwards, Notcutts, Sainsburys and Morrisons.
We will endeavour to keep you up to date with our preparations including any fundraising events that we have planned, so please return to this blog and support the team in any way you can.
I'm not certain if this is the right way to put something on the blog but here we go!
ReplyDeleteIt only seems like 2 weeks since we signed up for this expedition, and I honestly cannot believe that there's only 12 DAYS TO GOOOOO!!!!!! Its unreal to think that in 2 weeks time we're going to be in Tanzania, with only 3 pairs of boxers :| Not looking forward to that! I can't believe its so close now, I think it's going to be a great experience and hopefully one that I will never forget-for the right reasons!- after todays meeting about kit, our final meeting, it's suddenly hit me and it feels so real right now, i can't wait! I look forward to spending a month with you all and I'm sure we'll all come out of this so much closer than we already are. I can't wait.

Well What can i say? omg it's only 12 days and i can't wait it's going to be FUN FUN FUN! ahha i hope :) hoppfully i will Never forget about this expedition. And the boxers im not to sure about 3 pairs aahhh:/And I’m glad to be going out to tanzania with the team we are in because they are a good bunch i can't wait will be a laugh especially if im there.:P

6 DAYS TO GO!!! I cannot wait! I'm sure we'll all have an absolutely imense time and we'll definitely have some...interesting experiences :) All the discos and bagpacking sessions have been so worth it! See you guys on Monday :D

5 DAYS!!! :D I cant believe its coming up so quick... it seems to get quicker and quicker as each day goes by :P
ReplyDeleteCurrently our backroom is covered in all my gear ready to be ticked off on the kitlist and then STUFFED into my two bags....oh noo.... its SO not gonna fit haha ;)
Itll all be good though :)
ALSO - I bought the cutest book from the works yesterday to give to the school :)
Its about a baby dinosaur who cant roar :( but then does! :D
It made me all happy inside :) But it was only 99p so if people dont have any to take, its worth having a look there :)
